Nature Special Issue on Parkinson's showcases OPDC researchIt is 200 years since Parkinson’s was first described. This special issue from scientific journal Nature charts the progress of research in an engaging timeline and shows how our understanding of Parkinson’s motor and non-motor symptoms has evolved.

It also reveals the exciting new applications of smartphones in monitoring the disease including the pioneering research being carried out by OPDC researchers including Max Little. OPDC participants are working with Dr Little and OPDC colleagues to make use of the array of voice and movement sensors included in smartphones.

Smartphones have huge potential, Little says. “We're really only beginning to scratch the surface of what it's possible to do with this technology.”
