newcomers' club
The Oxford University Newcomers’ Club exists to welcome to Oxford the wives/husbands/partners of newly appointed academics, of visiting academics and of postgraduate students to the University.
Researcher society
The DPAG Researcher Society is run by and for researchers and aims to promote interactions between research scientists to create a friendly network of skills and expertise and to welcome new researchers joining the Department.
Researcher lunch meetings are organised regularly for research scientists across the entire Department to meet and exchange advice and tips on their projects, career and life in Oxford.
A forum also offers postdocs a place where they can exchange and ask questions to the wider DPAG research community on any subjects ranging from help on protocol, career, life in Oxford, etc.
Updates on departmental business is provided via the Researcher Society Chair (currently Stefania Monterisi) who sits on the Departmental Committee where any potential issues can be discussed. Researchers are also represented on the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee.
