Associate Professor Vyazovskiy's studentship, ‘Fasting-induced torpor in mice: effects on sleep and behaviour’ offers a fantastic new opportunity for early career researchers.

Vladyslav Vyazovskiy has been awarded an exciting new PhD studentship by the National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement and Reduction of Animals in Research.

The studentship will give students the opportunity to investigate the effects of food restriction on torpor (a state of decreased physiological activity), the effects of torpor on subsequent behavioural performance and sleep, and a chance to be part of developing a standardized approach to detect the occurrence of torpor during food restriction.

More information and how to apply can be found within the Studentship Projects featured on our Study With Us pages.
