Departmental Lecturer in Anatomy
- I contribute academic leadership and subject expertise to facilitate the development and delivery of the curriculum of anatomy teaching in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences;
- I provide lectures and contribute to the organisation and delivery of laboratory-based teaching.
- I provide support colleagues to ensure that the appropriate materials, competencies and knowledge are available to deliver teaching relating to anatomy;
- I develop and champion novel digital approaches to the delivery of the anatomy curriculum;
- I contribute to the business of relevant course committees and to the ongoing development of the Medicine and Biomedical Sciences courses in respect of anatomy;
- I periodically serve as an examiner for University examinations, including the First BM;
- I organise the collection, analysis and reporting of student feedback to ensure that high standards in anatomical education are maintained, enhancing the experience of students and their training for clinical practice;
- I identify and exploit opportunities to extend the use of the anatomy facility to to clinicians and other allied healthcare professionals and to other non-medical groups;
- I develop links with the clinical departments for teaching and curriculum development.
