Research Assistant
Following recent completion of a MSc in Neuroscience at the University of Oxford, I am a research assistant working with Dr Becky Carlyle. In this role I will be investigating the mechanisms underlying cognitive resilience in Alzheimer's disease. Utilising iPSC-derived cortical neurons, my role is to conduct peptide and CRISPRi screens to explore potential protective effects of targets identified from Dr Becky Carlyles proteomic studies, following Amyloid beta treatment. Additionally, I will be implementing long-read RNA sequencing of post-mortem tissue to create isoform-level region specific references for future proteomic experiments.
