Postdoctoral Research Scientist Dr Elizabeth Haythorne from the Ashcroft Group has been awarded two Poster Prizes for her poster detailing her team's work on how hyperglycaemia, during Diabetes, alters mitochondrial metabolism in pancreatic islets.
First, she won the Lily Diabetes Poster Award at the Diabetes UK conference in Liverpool, which took place from 6 - 8 March. The prize was for £1000 in the basic science category.
Secondly, she won the Poster Prize for £250 at the EASD Islet Study Group and Beta-Cell Workshop which was held here in Oxford from 1 - 3 April.
