Richard Tsien delivers Burdon Sanderson Prize Lecture 2022

The annual Burdon Sanderson Prize lecture, given this year by Professor Richard W. Tsien, a pioneer in the study of calcium channels and synaptic transmission, is held in honour of John Burdon Sanderson (1828 - 1905), the University of Oxford's first Waynflete Professor of Physiology, after whom the Cardiac Centre is named.

On Monday 17 October 2022, as part of The Physiological Society roadshow at the University of Oxford, Emeritus Professor of Cardiovasular Physiology Denis Noble FRS unveiled a new plaque honouring the Department's first Waynflete Professor of Physiology, Sir John Burdon Sanderson.
