Youchong Zhang

Research Assistant

A drifter off to see the world.

Youchong read Biomedical Science (Neuroscience Path) as an Undergraduate and a Master student at the University of Sheffield, where he joined Dr Andrew Lin's Lab to study the developmental plasticity of memory-coding neurons. Then he became the research technician in Prof Carolina Rezaval's lab at the University of Birmingham focusing on decision making mechanisms when facing conflicting choices. Since August 2023, Youchong has been working as Dr Annie Park's research assistant as a part of the Waddell Group in the Centre for Neural Circuits & Behaviour, trying to understand how satiation state dependent physiological changes are integrated within a reward memory trace.
