Syeeda Nashitha Kabir

Postdoctoral Research Scientist

Our group is currently investigating the role of iron homeostasis in heart failure and in pregnancy. Using a variety of techniques, we look at specific proteins involved in iron homeostasis and how they are modulated after a myocardial infarction as well as at different stages of pregnancy. I obtained my PhD at University of Birmingham, comparing electrophysiological differences in atria and ventricles, and looking at differential effects of anti-arrhythmic drugs in atria and ventricles.
