Selina Tsai

BSc, MRes

Researcher in Cardiovascular Development

I completed a BSc in Biochemistry at Royal Holloway, University of London before moving to UCL Institute of Neurology, Queen Square to study for an MRes in Translational Neurology.

Following on from those degrees, I worked in the NHS before joining The Francis Crick Institute as a Visiting Scientist in Jim Smith's lab, working on the generation/maturation of left ventricular cardiomyocytes and engineered heart tissue.

I joined the Sparrow Group in March 2022 as a Research Assistant, using mouse models to investigate environmental influences on the developing embryonic heart and how this may lead to congenital heart defects.
