I am a 3rd year Biomedical Sciences student completing my Final Honour School Project. My research investigates the effect of Ferric Carboxymaltose, an intravenous iron therapy, and FBS, a key component of cell culture media, on the level of non-transferrin bound iron in rat cardiomyocytes.
