Paula Seghers Niebla

Research Assistant

I graduated in Biotechnology, and I hold a Masters in Translational Medical Research. I have a keen interest in neurodegenerative diseases. Currently, I am a research assistant working with Dr Becky Carlyle. In this role I will be investigating the mechanisms underlying cognitive resilience in Alzheimer's disease. Utilising iPSC-derived cortical neurons, my role is to conduct peptide and CRISPRi screens to explore potential protective effects of targets identified from Dr Becky Carlyles proteomic studies, following Amyloid beta treatment.
