Research Assistant
I completed my undergraduate studies in Medical Biosciences at Imperial College London. This led to the completion of a MRes in Brain Sciences at UCL after gaining an initial interest in neuroscience. During my MRes research project at the MRC Prion Unit, I investigated the functional interactions of cellular prion protein and prion-like proteins such as amyloid-beta and tau as well as the induced neural-relevant consequences in Alzheimer’s disease. I joined the Wade-Martins Group as a research assistant in January 2024. In collaboration with EndLyz Therapeutics, I am testing and validating novel therapeutic targets in the endo-lysosomal system of Parkinson’s disease by using phenotypic testing in iPSC-derived dopaminergic models with a focus on translating biological findings into drug discovery projects.
