My research explores the effects of presbycusis on the production of voice and the enjoyment of amateur choral singing. This project crosses audiometric examination and acoustic voice assessment with current musicological theories of perception to provide a multifaceted view of the interaction between auditory perception and vocal production, and own-voice perception as a marker of identity.
