I am an MBiochem student researching cardiac metabolism under the supervision of Prof. Lisa Heather. My research focuses on exploring the role of insulin resistance and hypoxia on epigenetics and gene transcription in the heart. We aim to understand the mechanisms underpinning the interplay between diabetic cardiomyopathy and the epigenome.
