Anna Cook

Postdoctoral Research Scientist

Anna is a postdoctoral fellow in the Waddell lab. Her work aims to investigate how heterogeneity in dopamine neurons influences the encoding of learning and memory, using the mushroom body circuit of Drosophila melanogaster as a model. Anna joined the lab in October 2023, following a PhD in the Watt lab at McGill University in Canada. There she investigated signalling pathways involved in cerebellar information processing in health and disease, and was awarded a Brain Star award for high impact discoveries from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research in 2022. Before that, Anna studied for a BSc in Biology at Imperial College London.
