A team of Oxford Parkinson’s Disease Centre (OPDC) researchers and supporters including Professor Laura Parkkinen, Dr Ira Milosevic and a team from the Wade-Martins Group took part in the annual Walk for Parkinson's in Henley-on-Thames organised by Parkinson's UK, in conjunction with the Parkinson’s UK Oxford Branch.

On Sunday 8th October over four hundred participants completed either the 1 or 6 mile walk through the beautiful fields and woodlands of the Culden Faw Estate, Henley-on-Thames in warm sunshine to help raise funds towards vital research into new treatments and a cure for Parkinson’s Disease.

The Oxford Walk event has raised an amazing £30,000 so far with the Wade-Martins team of eight raising £430, with donations still coming in. Please see the Wade-Martins fundraising page here if you wish to make a donation: https://events.parkinsons.org.uk/fundraisers/wademartinslab

A huge thank you to Katy Slade, Parkinson’s UK Regional Fundraiser and her team for their organisation, and making the event a success. Congratulations to everyone who took part in the event and helped to raise essential funds toward research into Parkinson’s Disease.
