A new video filmed by Parkinson’s UK in the Department’s Laboratory of Molecular Neurodegeneration throws light on the unique collaborative research being done here in Oxford to further our understanding of Parkinson’s disease.

In the video DPAG and Kavli Institute Group Leaders Professor Richard Wade-Martins, Dr Brent Ryan and Dr Charmaine Lang talk about their research. They discuss how interdisciplinary collaborations, high-tech equipment and a close relationship with members of the local Parkinson’s UK Oxford branch all enable them to undertake novel research that is helping uncover more about Parkinson’s disease. The video effectively shows how the research happening in Oxford is leading the way using innovative techniques and a unique relationship with people with Parkinson’s.

Professor Wade-Martins commented, ‘We were delighted to host the Parkinson’s UK filming crew and our friends from the Parkinson’s UK Oxford branch to show them our fantastic laboratory facilities at the Kavli institute and explain our research into finding a cure and identifying treatments for Parkinson’s’.
