On receipt of his award, Dr Salman commented, ‘It is an extraordinary honour and privilege to receive this prestigious award by the ARUK and join such a fantastic list of previous recipients. Neuroscience research and working to identify new treatments for neurodegenerative diseases using innovative and cutting-edge technologies have been a passion of mine throughout my career. This success would not have been possible without my support network, encouraging mentors, friendly colleagues, and generous funding agencies, in particular the Medical Research Council and Leverhulme Trust. Thank you for having confidence in my abilities’.
Dr Salman received his award and spoke at the ARUK Conference 2024, in Liverpool.
