The Department has raised £1,500 at a bake sale led by Lisa Heather and the Cardiac Metabolism Research Group for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

On Thursday 10 March 2022, DPAG hosted a hugely successful bake sale in the Sherrington building's reception foyer to help raise money as part of the global effort to meet the needs of refugees and displaced people of Ukraine.

A fantastic £1534 was raised and will be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukrainian Appeal.

The Department heartily thanks Associate Professor Lisa Heather and members of the Cardiac Metabolism Research Group for putting on the fundraiser, all the baking enthusiasts who contributed cakes to the sale, and of course everyone who generously donated.

Visit the Disaster Emergency Committee website for information on how you can donate and further contribute.
