We are delighted to congratulate David Holdsworth. Mootaz Salman and Liron Boyman (pictured above, left to right) who have been awarded the title of Associate Professor by the University of Oxford.
Mootaz comments, 'I am very pleased to receive this recognition. It reflects the work of an excellent team, past and present, as well as the support and mentorship I have received throughout my career. I am grateful to colleagues across DPAG, the Kavli Institute and the BHF/UKDRI, and to the funding bodies that have enabled this work. Our focus remains on understanding how blood-brain barrier and vascular dysfunction in the brain drives disease and how this can be translated into meaningful therapeutic strategies.'
Liron says, 'I am very grateful to be awarded an Associate Professorship. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and talent of my group members, past and present, and to the many colleagues and collaborators who have supported our work. I look forward to building on our research and continuing to contribute to DPAG’s collaborative and dynamic environment.'
And David says, 'I am really excited about strengthening the links between DPAG and the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. In particular, the Department’s integrative physiology capabilities are perfectly set up for characterising a broad range of cardiorespiratory problems that limit human function and developing novel therapies to address them.'
