Postdoctoral Research Scientist

Miglė Kalvaitytė-Repečkė is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Simões Group, specialising in cardiovascular biology. She joined the group as part of the BBSRC-funded CellTalk Human Heart Development consortium, where her work focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanisms that drive heart development. Her current research integrates in vitro human iPSC-derived 3D cardiac organoids with in vivo zebrafish models to identify conserved intercellular signalling pathways that regulate cardiogenesis.
