Congratulations are in order for Professor Zoltán Molnár, who has been elected as a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences from among 136 researchers nominated. Following their election, on 7 May the new academicians were presented at the 199th General Assembly of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The Academy is marking the 200th anniversary of its foundation, this year.

The Academy’s primary mission is to make knowledge accessible to everyone and to serve as a credible source of guidance at all times. With 200 years of value-creating activity, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences has made a fundamental contribution to the accumulation of knowledge and to the cultural heritage of Hungarian society.

Zoltan comments, ‘I would like to say thanks to Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics and St John’s College for their continued support.’
