DPAG has been ranked world number one for anatomy and physiology in the 2025 QS World University Rankings by Subject for the sixth year in a row, top of over 170 universities included in this year’s rankings.
Published annually, the QS World University Rankings by Subject ranks academic programmes using five indicators to effectively reflect their performance, taking into account academic reputation, employer reputation and faculty research.
Our Head of Department, Professor David Paterson said, ‘Congratulations again to all the academics, post-doctoral fellows, researchers, graduate students and professional support staff for defying academic gravity and maintaining our top spot for 6 years in a row. I am very proud of your performance.’
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Irene Tracey sent her congratulations, saying, ‘I am delighted to learn that the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics has once again knocked it out the park and been ranked number 1 for Anatomy and Physiology in the latest 2025 QS University rankings.
