Exploring the heart regeneration of zebrafish and Mexican cavefish using multi-omics

I am a DPhil student under the supervision of Prof Mathilda Mommersteeg and co-supervision of Prof Lucy Davison. My work focuses on exploring the molecular mechanism of the heart regeneration of zebrafish and Mexican tetra (surface morph) using various bioinformatic approaches, including bulk/single-cell RNA sequencing, quantitative trait loci (QTL) analysis, ATAC/ChIP sequencing, multiome, etc. I am also interested in developing tools to facilitate the application of AI algorithms in biological research. My DPhil is funded by the China Scholarship Committee - University of Oxford Scholarship. I obtained my BSc at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where I worked for projects investigating the role of endothelial-immune cells crosstalk in atherosclerosis under the supervision of Prof Xiaonan Wang.
