My research focuses on investigating the hypothesis that NOS1AP (CAPON) will reverse the prolonged action potential duration (APD) in a 3D in vitro cardiac organoid model of Long QT Syndrome Type 1. Using optical mapping as my principal technique, I aim to characterise action potential and calcium transient dynamics to better understand the mechanisms underlying arrhythmogenesis and potential therapeutic interventions.
