My research focuses on the role of proton gradients and membrane transport in cancer cell survival and metabolic adaptation. I investigate how cancer cells respond to acidic and hypoxic stress through mechanisms involving acid loaders, mitochondrial function, and lysosomal acidification. This work spans several cancer types and aims to uncover metabolic vulnerabilities with therapeutic potential.
