Bsc.Hons., MRes.

Graduate Student

I completed my undergraduate degree in Genetics and masters in Translational Medicine at the University of Glasgow where my smaller research projects were always focused on different aspects of cardiac function in health and disease.

I currently work in the Tyler group in the Burdon Sanderson Cardiac Science Centre in DPAG where I am interested in how inflammation in diabetes affects cardiac function. We use novel magnetic resonance imaging techniques to investigate metabolism and energetics in the heart in diabetes. I also use flow cytometry to assess immune cell populations in diabetic hearts.
