Pre-clinical Medicine Undergraduate students Kacper Kurzyp, Rafee Ahmed and Oliver Bredemeyer achieved Oxford University's best ever performance in The National Undergraduate Neuroanatomy Competition at the University of Southampton. Their participation was sponsored by DPAG with Professor Zoltán Molnár and Departmental Lecturer Dr Michael Gilder providing extra tuition to prepare them for their successful performances.

The Summer School provides an opportunity for students to receive first-hand experience of life at university, meet like-minded people and gain a deeper understanding of a subject that interests them.

In the 2017 QS World University Rankings by Subject, the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics has been placed top for Anatomy and Physiology.
Rave reviews for DPAG's surgical anatomy course

A surgical anatomy course which took place in September of last year has received excellent reviews from its participants, reports 'Surgeon's News'. The course, held in the Anatomy Suite, catered for senior medical students and aimed to increase awareness of the important links between anatomy and surgical practice.

Neil Herring and Robert WIlkins' textbook entitled “Basic Sciences for Core Medical Training” published by OUP, won a “Highly commended” prize in the Basic and Clinical Sciences category of the BMA Medical Book Awards 2016 at their Annual awards ceremony on 7th September. The awards take place annually to recognise outstanding contributions to medical literature.
