This International Women's Day, we celebrate some of the awards, accolades and advances several of DPAG\u2019s women have achieved over the past year, despite the challenges of the pandemic.

\n \n \n \nPreclinical Medicine Undergraduate students Thomas Henning, Ivan Jim Paul and Owen Sweeney have helped Oxford build on last year to achieve the University's best ever performance in The National Undergraduate Neuroanatomy Competition. Preparation for their successful participation was assisted by DPAG's Professor Zolt\u00e1n Moln\u00e1r, Dr Michael Gilder and Samuel Snowdon.

\n \n \n \nProfessor Dame Kay Davies, Professor of Genetics, first woman appointed Dr Lee's Professor of Anatomy at Oxford, first woman to become Head of Department for DPAG, University-wide champion of equality, and award winning scientist known for her work on Duchenne muscular dystrophy, has 'retired' after a lifetime's research, but remains Professor Emeritus at DPAG.
