Uroosa Chughtai

Research Assistant

I joined the Wade-Martins group in October 2017 as a research assistant. I will be working with dopaminergic neurons derived from the induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) of Parkinson’s disease patients with GBA mutations, with the aim to investigate molecular disease mechanisms and screen for compounds capable of alleviating the consequences of this mutation.

Prior to this, I obtained a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science with specialisation in Neuroscience and Mental Health from Imperial College London.
