Shinil Raina

Research Assistant

Being introduced to Neuroscience mid-way through my undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge, I have always been motivated to uncover the mystery of the human brain. Looking at the potential of memory reconsolidation to remediate maladaptive habits for my dissertation, followed by my MSc thesis for a degree in Translational Neuroscience, this passion has driven me to continue pursuing a career in the field of research. I further developed this with an MSc in Health Data Analytics and Machine Learning that helped me appreciate all the computational techniques that can facilitate neurobiological research even further.

I am currently working as a Research Assistant on a project at the Cragg Lab looking at the glial and non-glial contributions to striatal dopamine release in both health and in Parkinson's Disease.
