Miguel Gonçalo de Oliveira Jones Ferrão Lobo
I obtained a BSc in Biochemistry (2012) and a MSc in Biochemistry (2014) from the University of Lisbon, Portugal.
As part of my MSc, I was a visiting student of Zaccolo group in DPAG for a 3-month period.
I started my DPhil in Physiology, Anatomy & Genetics in the University of Oxford under the supervision of Prof. Manuela Zaccolo in October 2015 to work on the role of Phosphodiesterases (PDE2) in the physiology of cardiac myocyte organelles.
PDE2A2 regulates mitochondria morphology and apoptotic cell death via local modulation of cAMP/PKA signalling.
