Postgraduate Student

DPhil student - Interdisciplinary Bioscience DTP

Following an undergraduate and Master's degrees that combined Engineering and Neuroscience, I joined Oxford's Interdisciplinary Bioscience Doctoral Training Programme in 2014 and started my DPhil in 2015, working jointly with Vlad Vyazovskiy's and Stuart Peirson's (NDCN) groups.

My project aims to gain new insights in the underlying mechanisms of sleep homeostasis, combining in vivo and computational approaches. It has involved developing a mathematical model of sleep regulation as well as characterising a novel mouse line with an unusual sleep phenotype.
