Loïc Cochard
Postdoctoral Research Scientist
I completed my PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Montreal (Canada), during which I studied the cellular and molecular mechanisms responsible for the activation of quiescent neural stem cells in the adult and aging brain.
I joined the Wade-Martins group in November 2021. In my project, I will screen small molecules that could reduce epigenetic repression of the frataxin coding gene. The promising candidates identified in vitro will then be tested in vivo with the objective to develop a new therapeutic approach that could help patients.
