Research Scientist for Islet Biology and Metabolism

BA (Hons) Cell and Systems Biology, University of Oxford

I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Oxford in 2015, where I studied Cell and Systems Biology. I developed my interest in studying the beta cell during my final year project, where I investigated 'The transcriptional control of beta cell function by CITED2' in Dr. James Cantley's group. I subsequently took up a position in James' lab, where my main priorities include establishing CRIPSR-Cas9 gene editing protocols for the lab, with an eye to investigating the role of key metabolism genes in maintaining beta cell function during health and disease.
