Helen Potts

Postgraduate Student

I am a second year postgraduate Student on the BHF 4-year DPhil programme in Associate Prof. Tilly Mommersteeg’s Lab. Tilly’s lab focuses in dissecting out differences in the surface-dwelling and cave-dwelling populations of the Astyanax Mexicanus fish as these 2 populations have differential abilities to regenerate their heart. I specifically look at their immune responses to cardiac injury and how this impacts regeneration.
