Ana Bottura de Barros

Postgraduate Student


Ana Carolina Barros obtained her BSc in Molecular Sciences from the University of Sao Paulo in 2011. Then, in 2013, she received her Master in Neuroscience from the University of Strasbourg, in France. She developed her master project on fear memory and plasticity at the Friedrich Miescher Institute in Dr. Caroni's lab.

In 2015 she joined the Kohl Group for her doctoral studies at University of Oxford and was awarded the Science without Borders scholarship for her studies.

Research Summary

Ana is interested in understanding how we are able to store and remember facts and moments of our lives. Her research focus on how sensory representation occurs and how it is affected by learning.
