A model for simulating action potential in ventricular cell

In this paper we introduce our findings which can lead to a mathematical method for simplifying cell models. In our research we used some well known electro physiologic cardiac cell models and have made observation matrixes from them. With the use of singular value decomposition of the observation matrix, we found that action potential in each examined model can be explained as a linear combination of some other electro physiologic observations. This linear model can be used for simplifying action potential simulation, cardiac cell modelling, tissue modelling and the reduction of computational burden of the simulation of action potential propagation in cardiac tissue. © 2008 IEEE.
