DPAG members have excelled at this year's Oxford British Heart Foundation Centre of Research Excellence Annual Symposium - held in-person for the first time since 2019 - on Wednesday 23 November 2022.

Over 40 students and researchers entered the poster competition, with judges agreeing that the overall standard was so excellent, it was difficult to select winners. Three of the six prizes on offer went to DPAG cardiac researchers. Many congratulations to our prize winners below:

Student - Best short talk of posterKaitlyn Dennis (Heather Group) for “Selective Palmitoylation of CD36 is associated with metabolic dysfunction in the type 2 diabetic heart”

Student - Best poster: Dr Ni Li (Paterson Group) for "Human iPSC derived cardiac myocytes and sympathetic neurons in disease modelling"

Non-student - Best poster: Dr KC Park (Swietach Group) for "Differential metabolic processing of propionate underpins histone modifications and contractile dysfunction in a mouse model of elevated propionate/propionyl-CoA"
