Chemical tools to understand fatty acid uptake, trafficking, metabolism and signalling

I am a Chemistry in Cells student funded by the Wellcome Trust. My DPhil project is a collaboration between the Heather group and the Russell group led by Professor Angela J. Russell in the department of chemistry.

I will be designing and synthesising chemical probes to help understand fatty acid uptake, trafficking, metabolism and signalling and its impact on type 2 diabetes.
